OUR JOY WILL ONLY BE COMPLETE IF WE REMAIN IN GOD’S LOVE

Jesus in today’s gospel talks about love and joy in the same breath. This shows the intimate connection of the two.

Joy is the fruit of love. Joy is an over-flowing heart. The amount of joy we have is in proportion to the amount of love we share with others.

If then we are not as joyful as we should be, perhaps it is telling us something on the deficiency of our love for others. Our joy will only be complete if we remain in God’s love because we are made in God’s image and of course God as John told us is Love himself.

The image of God in us has planted in us the capacity to love, all we need is to purge our hearts of impurities and loving will not be a difficult task.

I pray for the grace to love even when it pains as I wish you a happy Sunday beloved in Christ. I wish you the most amazing Fathering Sunday as the Church and God celebrates you today.
