GOD’S POWER OVER CREATED THINGS IS UNQUESTIONABLE: HE WILL CALM YOUR STORM

Today’s central message reiterates God’s sovereignty over nature and by extension his power over human challenges.
At the apex of Job’s trials, God reassured him of his power over created things and why he should hold on to his faith in him in spite of his ordeals. At the peak of the apostle’s fear of being wasted inside the sea with a heavy storm, they cried to Christ and Christ demonstrated that same power over nature by calming the storm.
The readings of today are faith based uplifting readings for those that believe in the power of God. If God can walk with Job through his ordeals and still restored him back to a more glorious state, if Christ can come to the rescue of his drowning disciples when they have lost all hope in the Sea of Galilee, do you not think that our present situation as a nation, our situation as individuals and even in our families are not beyond the reach of divine intervention? Like Job, let us hang on in faith that God will restore the glory of this country through God fearing leaders. Like the disciples, let us cry out to him that the storm of life is sinking us beneath the sea of life challenges and surely the creator of the sea and the author of our lives will wage the war for us.
