WHAT ELIJAH GOT WAS JUST ORDINARY FOOD AND DRINK BUT JESUS GIVES US SOMETHING INFINITELY GREATER

Elijah went through sad experiences running away from Jezebel and was almost giving up his faith in God but the same God provided him with food and drink through human element to enable him pass through the hurdle.

What Elijah got was just ordinary food and drink. But Jesus gives us something infinitely greater. He gives us “bread from heaven”. The food of everlasting life. On the strength of this food we shall navigate the hurdles of this life. Fortunately, the angel God sent to us is his Son, Jesus.

Jesus stays by our side to walk us through the dark and gloomy days of our lives to the mountain of God, namely eternal life.

I pray that as the food gave Elijah the strength to finish the race so shall the Holy Eucharist give you the strength to win the heavenly race through Christ Our Lord Amen!
