PDP NSUKKA LGA ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL CONGRESS…

•Hon. Chris Ezema to lead Nsukka PDP as its Chairman, alongside other members of the executive.

•Chief Dr. Dan Onumonu Shere emerged as national delegate from Nsukka LGA

•Hon Fabian C. Onah a.k.a Okanume, alongside his exco bows out as LGA party executive after their successful “8 years plus” excellent service

The peoples democratic Party (PDP), Nsukka Local Government Area (LGA) has, 17 August 2024, got a brand new EXCO which was monitored by the electoral umpires, (The INEC officials, security personnel, observers, etc).

Rising from the peaceful conduct of the congress, which was well attended and witnessed by the party faithful’s as well as the delegates, the returning officer for the election in the person of Hon. Innocent Ezeoha in-line with the outcome of the congress, declared the successfully emerged exco as follows:

1. Hon. Chris Ezema – Chairman.
2. Lady Beatrice Asogwa -Vice- Chairman.
3. Hon. Casmir Nnaemeka Ugwunkwo – Secretary.
4. Hon. Uchenna Onah – Legal Adviser.
5. Hon. Jude Ezugwu – Youth Leader.

Others included:

6. Hon. Chinasa Kate Ogbuanya – Women Leader.
7. Hon. Uche Ezugwu – Assistant Secretary.
8. Hon. Ikenna Ezeagu – Treasurer.
9. Hon. Jude Eze – Organising Secretary and
10. Hon. Solomon Onah – Publicity Secretary.
11. Hon. Chinedu Omeje – Financial Secretary,
12. Mr. Onyeka Onyishi – Asst. Publicity Secretary,
13. Hon. Ozonta Matthew Ekwutosi – Ex-officio,
14. Hon. Solomon Onyemaechi Asogwa – Ex-officio and
15. Hon. Onyeka Onyishi – Ex-officio.
16. Hon Diovu Jude – Ex-officio and
17. Hon Onah Simon Chibuzor – Ex-officio, Hon. Chief Dr. Dan Onumonu Shere was elected as National Delegate .

The Congress however brought the eight years of excellent services of the past administration led by its Chairman, Hon. Fabian Onah, otherwise called Okanume and his EXCO to a successful end. It equally marked the step for a greater journey of the PDP in Nsukka LGA towards sustaining the mantra of tomorrow is here in the area.

Speaking during the event, Hon Fabian Onah, Okanume, expressed his profound joy to God Almighty and to the party members for all the support given to them. He further begged for continued loyalty of the party members to the new administration as well as the Party Structure, Urging everyone to support them to excell in their new positions.

The new Party Chairman, Hon. Chris Ezema in his acceptance speech expressed his joy and satisfaction in the outcome of the congress. He thanked the delegates and the Party members for believing in him as the local government Chairman of the party. He equally appealed and solicited for support, stating that the task before the party at the moment is to successfully deliver the party’s touch-bearer, Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa as the next Chairman of the Nsukka LGC in the October 5, 2024 Chairmanship elections.

Those present to observe the event included:
the number one delegate of the party in the person of Hon. Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa, who is currently the party touch- bearer in the scheduled Chairmanship elections, alongside his running mate, Hon. Samuel Iyeanyi a.k.a Smog Charles.

Also present in the event included the immediate past Mayor of the LGC, Hon. Barr. Walter Ozioko, Hon. Reuben Onyishi, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor on New Media, Dr. Shere, the national delegate of the Party for the LGA, Chief Nweze Alphonsus , Ward Executive, former Councilors, numerous Party members, etc.
