GRATITUDE DOES WONDERS FOR THE HEART AND A GRATEFUL HEART IS A JOYFUL HEART
Today’s homily is centered on GRATITUDE! The first reading with the gospel showed Gentiles’ attitude to GRATITUDE, while the Jews were ingrates. It shows that even in our own life experiences, outsiders see everything as a gift with appreciation, while insiders take it for granted and will always ask for more.
Ingratitude can make a kind person turn bitter, while gratitude will always open more doors for a grateful person. Gratitude makes our benefactors feel appreciated. Gratitude does wonders for the heart, and a grateful heart is a joyful heart.
The story of the ten lepers shows the percentage of our gratitude to God for what he is to us. If your gratitude to God and humans weighs 1/10 in fractions, then you need to work on your virtue of gratitude to the one who is the author of your being.
Again, the stories of both the Army commander Naaman and the ten lepers showed we can find God through pain and not falling out of faith due to temptations of illness or the likes. Our health challenges should draw us closer to God like Naaman and the one Samaritan that came back to give THANKS to God.
I pray God to give you the virtue of gratitude even when we feel disappointed at the gift we received from God or man.
May our hearts be filled with gratitude always through Christ Our Lord Amen!
Happy Sunday, beloved of Christ! Fadafido Cares!
