STRUGGLE AWAKENS ALL THAT IS GOOD AND PRECIOUS WITHIN US

The gospel of today shows the struggle of the wheat to survive in the midst of weeds. In the same way we too struggle to survive in the midst of evils around us. It is also worthy of note that through struggle we grow.
Struggle awakens all that is good and precious within us. Indeed, the presence of evil is a necessary one because unless we make a choice between good and evil no virtue will be possible. Again, It takes wisdom to recognize the frailty of human character; the occasional unreliability of even the best of us, and the sometimes unexpected goodness of even the worst of us.
We must be patient with ourselves and others with hope and confidence that with God’s help good will finally triumph over evil like the parable of the wheat and weed portrayed today.
I also wish to thank you for your prayers as it yielded positive results in our just concluded annual retreat. You were handsomely remembered too!
