THE GREATEST DANGER IS NOT ABANDONING GOD TO TURN TO EVIL BUT RATHER IGNORING GOD’S INVITATION
Today’s story of the king who called a banquet and the refusal of the invited guests teaches us that the tragedy of life is that it is the second best that shuts out the best. The things which are good in themselves shuts out the supreme good.
A man can be so busy making a living that he fails to make a life. God’s invitation challenges us to abandon our isolationism, our exclusionism and our self sufficiency and be willing to share, associate and collaborate with others in pursuit of God’s kingdom.
The greatest danger is not abandoning God to turn to evil but rather ignoring God’s invitation. To ignore God’s invitation is the worst form of refusal.
I pray you will not just be among the many that are called but very importantly among the few that will choose to grace this banquet the Lord has prepared for his own on the last day!
