ANOTHER SENIOR MILITARY APPOINTMENT OF NSUKKA EXTRACTION HAS BEEN MADE

The Nigerian Army High Command has made another senior military appointment of Nsukka extraction, in Enugu State. He is Major Gen. V.U. Okoro.
Gen. V.U. Okoro is from Igugu in Udenu Local Government Area in Enugu North of Enugu State. His appointment has taken immediate effect. He is now the General Officer Commanding 2 Division of the Nigerian Army Headquarters, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
His appointment follows other series of appointments in a move likely to be a general restructuring of the armed forces.
There is also speculation that in the days ahead, many officers and men will be retired.
