Existential Reflection (6)
1 min readThe Interconnected World
We are in a world that is interconnected. In this world, my actions and inactions affect you just as your actions and inactions affect me. Your decision today affects someone just as someone’s decision today may affect another. When I think and do good for you, I’m invariably thinking and doing good for myself. But when I do evil to you, I’m equally doing evil to myself. This is an existential and Karmic reality.
Dear friend, let us learn to do good and be good to others knowing too well that our actions will eventually, in one way or the other, affect us. In this interconnected world, let us always make effort to maintain the equilibrium required for a successful existential journey.
Remember, you cannot pour ashes on another without having some drops on yourself. Also, you cannot make someone to smile and remain sad; neither will you make someone to be sad and remain happy (no matter how you pretend to be happy). These are existential facts and none can run away from them. Think good, be good and you will receive goodness in equal measure.
