IN ST. PAUL WE SEE THE POWER OF GRACE WORKING THROUGH HUMAN WEAKNESS AND SINFULNESS
1 min readIn every conversion there is continuity and discontinuity. Negative elements are overcome – that is the discontinuity. But, the person’s energy are not lost but redirected – that is continuity.
The story of Paul shows that a person can change. In him we see the power of grace working through human weakness and sinfulness. His conversion is described in Acts as passing from darkness to light. As he himself said later, “God has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son” ( Col 1:13).
These lovely words sum up the story of Paul’s life. They too could sum up our own life if we sincerely understand that, cut off from the true vine who is Christ, we can’t bear any fruit as Christians.
I pray God to give you the grace of constant connectivity to the Vine for expected fruitfulness as branches.
Happy Sunday!
