IT IS NOT FOR NOTHING THAT GOD GAVE US EARS TO HEAR AND TONGUES TO SPEAK

The greatest tragedy is not to be born deaf or dumb, but to have ears and yet fail to hear. And to have tongues and yet fail to speak. Worse again is to have ears and refuse to hear. And to have tongues and refuse to speak.

So we need the Lord’s healing touch as he did to the deaf and dumb in today’s gospel if we are to use these two precious gifts well.

We pray earnestly for the leaders of this country who have refused to hear the cry of the masses and have also refused to see the excruciating pains of the masses over their policies that have plunged us into more hardships and pains.

I pray for God’s consolation from the prophetic words of the first reading assuring us that our God will surely come to save us from this mess we are in today from the power grabbers through Christ Our Lord Amen!
