JESUS IS ADVOCATING IN TODAY’S GOSPEL TO LEARN FROM HIM FOR HE IS GENTLE AND HUMBLE OF HEART

Nothing is so strong as gentleness and nothing so gentle as real strength. It takes a strong, self-confident person to be gentle. A gentle person knows that growth results, not from forcing, but from nurturing.
If you love, you are gentle. And there are certain tasks that only gentleness can accomplish. A gentle person according to Henri Nouwen treads lightly, listens carefully, looks tenderly and touches with reverence.
Humility on the other hand is not a form of weakness but that of strength. It does not mean we demean ourselves rather it means that we recognise our true greatness, while acknowledging that it came from God.
Jesus is advocating in today’s gospel to learn from him for he is gentle and humble of heart.
I pray that you too will imbibe the above virtues to be humble enough to learn from Christ.
