JESUS IS CALLING US TO DISCIPLESHIP TO BE HIS WITNESS TO THE WORLD

Christ made his disciples partners in the work of salvation by sending them out in twos to preach to the people, the same way God sent Amos to the people of Israel in the first reading.

We too are co-workers with Christ by the virtue of our baptism. What could be greater than being part of such a cause no matter how small one’s contribution is.

In our various endeavours of life, Jesus is calling us to discipleship to be his witness to the world. The most effective way is just to be true Christians. Amos received opposition from Amazia and Christ too warned his disciples against rejection from the people. Let us not be discouraged even when we too receive the same dosage of treatment in the cause of being witness to Christ.

Pray for me as I too mark my 12th priestly anniversary of witnessing to Christ today.
