JUST AS ABRAHAM JOURNEYED WITH FAITH TO THE PROMISED LAND, SO WE TOO, ARE STRENGTHENED IN OUR JOURNEY TO OUR ETERNAL HOME
The transfiguration experience of Peter, James, and John was a rare moment experience of light and joy. It’s meant to teach us that we, too, get glimpses of the promised land towards which we are traveling in faith. God in his love for us allows us to taste on earth the joys of the world to come.
However, these moments of transfiguration are given to us to strengthen us for our everyday tasks, and to enable us face the cross that in some shape or form comes to everyone of us especially this lenten season.
Peter wanted to remain there forever, but Christ reminded him that they still needed to go through the cross before enjoying the eternal beatific vision of the transfiguration. Just as Abraham journeyed with faith to the promised land, so we, too, are strengthened in our journey to our eternal home, the Holy City of Jerusalem, with the glimpses of our rare transfiguration experiences.
I pray that the radiant light of our transfigured Christ will light your path as we travel through the darkness of our faith this lenten season through Christ Our Lord Amen!
Happy Sunday! HAPPY NEW MONTH OF MARCH AS WE MATCH TOWARDS OUR ECONOMIC AND SPIRITUAL FREEDOM IN THIS NEW MONTH THROUGH CHRIST OUR LORD AMEN!
