OUR LEADERS AND ALL OF US INCLUSIVE MUST SEEK THE FACE OF GOD FIRST TO ACT HUMANLY
1 min readIt was not the manner that sustained the Israelites in the desert rather it was their faith in God. That was also the message of Christ to the Jews who were following him for the material food with which he fed them last Sunday.
According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, food is the basic need of man, but Christ is telling us today that his body is the most basic need of man than mere food.
At this critical gwo gwo gwom gwo period, what Nigerians need most is justice, fairness and equity with a sense of inclusiveness in administering the wealth of the nation than mere food. Let our leaders and all of us inclusive seek the face of God first to act humanly with the fear of God and the issue of food protest will die a natural death.
I pray that the current economic, political and security quagmire we found ourselves today will redirect us to seek the face of God as a panacea and remedy to our current Developmental impasse as a nation. I pray God to give all of us a sense of responsibility to manage our freedom from the shackles of colonialism and military dictatorship than the cry now to go back to Egypt like Israelites in today’s first reading simply because of the irresponsibility of our leaders in all tiers of our democratic organs of government.
Happy Sunday beloved in Christ!
