A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Umuelo/ Ovoko-Agu ward, of Igbo-Eze South LGA, Princess Edith Ugwuanyi has canvassed support for the re-election of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
Speaking over the weekend at her Umelo/Ovoko -Agu political ward meeting in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of the State, Princess Ugwuanyi said she has no regret coming back.
Ugwuanyi added that her resolve to come back to APC was informed by the human- oriented programmes and policies of her home state, Governor, Mbah, ranging from Smart Green School, Type two Hospital and 10 kilometers of road in each of the 260 politicalwards in the State, among other things, whom she listed among the best performing governors in the country.
According to her, the only way the Enugu State electorates could reciprocate the good works of Governor Mbah, is to get him re-lected, “but for that to happen, our people must embrace the on-going APC E- Registration exercise so as to obtain their membership and also get their voters card ahead of the general elections.
She also posited that with the coming together of all the heavyweight politicians in the ward under one political platform, it would be extremely difficult for “any body outside APC to contest and win any election in the area in 2027. It’s going to be an upheaval task for the person,” she stated.
Ugwuanyi, however, called on those yet to get registered to embrace the exercise, so as to become bona fide members. She insisted that Governor Mbah deserves a second term in office so as to enable him consolidate on the great achievements his administration has recorded during his first tenure in office.
She added, “Umelo/Ovoko-Agu, this is the time for our people to register and get their membership cards, so as to vote gov. Mbah in 2027″.
