The Veil that Once Covered the Eyes of Many is Being Lifted: Exposing Wolves in the Pulpit

Opinion
By Ryan Ezema

Bunch of thanks to His Excellency, the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and the Executive Chairman, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Barr. Ugo-Ferdinand Ukwueze, for clamping down on fake men of God — wolves in human clothing who portray themselves as pastors, ministers, evangelists, etc.

On 2nd June, 2025, Gov. Mbah ordered the demolition of the residence of one pastor named Chinedu, popularly known as ‘Ezedike,’ at Echezema Ibagwa-Aka in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State. The pastor was alleged to have a hand in the death of four children after intensive investigations were carried out on the matter. The four children of the same parents were crushed to death with a pestle and dumped at a farm near the pastor’s church last month. There was a heavy protest that followed, led by the youth who demanded that the perpetrators of this heinous crime be brought to book and face the full wrath of the law… chanting “Say NO to FAKE Pastors!!!!”

REFLECTION

The government has just taken a step by demolishing his houses. As we await other actions from the government, let me drive you a bit…

The acid test of anyone who calls the name of the Lord is the fruit they bear. What is the attitude of your man of God towards holiness, righteousness, death to the work of the flesh, genuine salvation, heaven, etc?

There are churches that call the name of God in the morning but are covens at night. We need to be more vigilant and discerning.

Signs and wonders are happening in a particular place and people are getting their healing and deliverance. That’s fine. But in whose name?

Have you thought for a minute what made the pastor’s congregants follow him despite the weight of evidence uncovered? They have been hypnotized! A veil has been cast upon their hearts and eyes.

Know God for yourself, and your life will be a citadel of everyday miracles instead of moving everywhere you hear it is ‘happening’. There is more than meets the eye.

There are the greedy, money-hungry, the heretic, and the hyper-authoritative men of God who tell you what you want to hear — like peace when there is no peace, or prosperity or healing, and so on. They are religious swindlers!

Short Lesson:

  1. God does not need your money or tithe to grant you His favour. He needs no material upkeep.
  2. Giving money to your man of God does not assure you a place in Heaven. It’s not like bribing to enter university — you can’t bribe your way to the heavenly kingdom.
  3. Your pastor lives a better and more comfortable life than most people in your church. Don’t you feel (pardon my language) “foolish” fuelling his fleet of cars with your hard-earned cash while your bills are mounting?
  4. Giving money to a friend or family in need, a charity organisation, an orphanage, or an incapacitated beggar on the street is by far more meaningful and more in line with Jesus’ command of “Love thy neighbour,” than giving money to your man of God.
  5. Majority of the men of God who ‘speak in tongues’ are just making incoherent babble and are not really under the power of the Holy Spirit.
  6. Most miracles you see and hear about are staged, believe it or not. Many pastors go to extreme lengths to get people to be in on the whole thing — paying off a whole family to get them to go along with the charade.
  7. Have you ever asked yourself why a ‘man of God’ should be riding the nicest cars, living in palatial homes, and wining and dining like royalty, while most of their flock can barely afford 3 square meals? But yet you don’t see the so-called men of God setting up functional programs to help uplift the lives of their members.

May the Lord continue to expose and disgrace all fake pastors, ministers, and evildoers in Jesus’ name… Amen.
