THERE IS NO OTHER LADDER TO HEAVEN THAN THE LADDER OF THE CROSS
Today, the Church celebrates the exaltation of the Cross, which is a symbol of patience, hope, and contrast to our world, where everything must come easily and fast, and where suffering is always considered a curse.
According to St. Rose of Lima, “there is no other ladder to heaven than the ladder of the Cross. To be Christ’s disciple means to embrace the Cross.” Let us ask God for the grace to always identify with this holy symbol as we acclaim,
“We adore you, O Christ, because, by thy holy Cross, thou have redeemed the world”.
