TODAY THE LORD INVITES US TO INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM THROUGH THE SACRAMENT

Today is the 4th Sunday; the readings are still on the Holy Eucharist especially Jn. 6 in the gospel. This shows the importance of the Sacrament to our salvation as Catholics. Holy Communion is not food for the perfect, but food for sinners. We receive Communion not because we are perfect, if we were prefect we wouldn’t need it. We receive Holy Communion because we need to, and the Lord invites us to intimate relationship through the Sacrament.
However, we must be cautious not to receive it unworthily if the Sacrament must produce a grace-filled effect in our spiritual life as Christians.
I pray that as often as you frequent the Holy Eucharist, may you be transformed to Christ Himself whom you receive in that Sacrament through Christ Our Lord Amen.
