WE CAN PROLONG A LIFE BY SHOWING CARE AND EMPATHY
Jesus never cured just an illness, he cured the sick .
Healing the body is good but not enough if the spirit is bruised and broken. He saw that the leper needed healing in the body and in spirit. His body was horribly wounded by leprosy and his spirit was deeply wounded by rejection. By touching the Leper, Jesus healed his wounded spirit, and restored his lost dignity as a human being and a child of God.
My dearly beloved, Christ is calling us to act with empathy towards the rejected, the neglected and the down trodden in the society.
We can prolong a life by showing care, empathy and love especially now we are faced with the worst economic and security threat ever as a country as Christ did today to the Leper.
