JESUS ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE GOOD NEWS AND THE INVOLVEMENT OF THE APOSTLES

In today’s gospel reading we shall see that Jesus did not just announce the Good News but also began to make it a reality through his actions.

He also involved the Apostles and in our time has decided to involve you and I. We have been anointed with the Sacrament of Baptism and also given the Holy Spirit in Confirmation in order to participate actively in the ministry of Jesus.

I pray that this Word of God that pervaded today’s readings will help you find consolation amidst the political and economic turmoil of the day.
