PROF. Chinadu Athanasius Eze of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nigeria Nsukka has called on guests, alumni, well-meaning Nigerians, philanthropists, parents, guardians, friends of the faculty and other good spirited individuals to come to the rescue of the faculty by taking up the execution of some projects.

He spoke at the 44th Oath-taking/Induction ceremony of 59 graduates of the 2021/2022 students of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), recently.

Eze argued that the faculty urgently needed students’ convenience and an incinerator to support the treatment and disposal of wastes and microorganisms from research involving infectious diseases which should not be discarded directly into the general waste disposal sites.

He said that they were, however, looking forward to the Vice-Chancellor’s assistance in recruiting qualified staff to beef up the staff strength of the various Departments of the faculty and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH).

Prof. Eze, on behalf of the faculty thanked the Vice-Chancellor for nominating one of them, Prof. Romanus Chukwudolue Ezeokonkwo for a successful election into the position of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration of the University.

He congratulated the graduands of 2021/2022 session for their Oath of allegiance to the practice of Veterinary Medicine in Nigeria, saying, “I commend you for your resilience and doggedness for this rare achievement”.

“To the parents/guardians of the inductees”, he said: “I appreciate you for investing in their education”, noting that, “investment in human capital development is one of the greatest legacies one can bequeath to any society.”
