PROF OGONU TAKES OVER AS THE NEW DEAN OF THE DEPARTMENT OF STUDENT AFFAIRS UNN

In a general handover ceremony held on Friday, 8th August 2024, Prof. Edwin Ogechukwu Omeje, the immediate past Dean of the Department of Student Affairs, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), handed over the reigns to the new Dean, Prof. (Mrs.) Chika Ogonu.
During the ceremony, Prof Omeje urged the new Dean to justify the confidence reposed in her by the UNN authorities. It is this confidence reposed in you by the UNN authorities that led to your appointment as the Dean.
He highlighted his achievements during his tenure, despite financial constraints, including provision of infrastructural facilities. Prof. Omeje assured the new Dean that generating of revenue would be easier with the existing facilities.
Prof. (Mrs.) Ogonu, in her acceptance speech, acknowledged the invaluable contributions of her predecessor, Prof. Omeje, whose efforts led to the Department’s successes. She promised to take the Department to the next level by improving on infrastructural facilities. She also solicited the cooperation of the entire staff members, emphasizing the importance of collective effort.
