THERE CAN BE NO TRUE LOVE OF GOD THAT DOES NOT EXPRESS ITSELF IN LOVE OF NEIGHBOUR
1 min readIn today’s lessons, God wants to teach us the interrelatedness of His love and love of neighbour.
True love of neighbour springs from the love of God; and there can be no true love of God that does not express itself in love of neighbour. This two way communication of love is better than all the sacrifices one can offer in the name of religion. We may live out of touch with God when we allow ritual take place of love of our neighbours.
The greatest danger of modern day Christians is the inability to connect our Sunday worship with our daily activities. Religion has become so subjective that it has become divorced from our daily life experiences. Any religion that does not foster good human relationship does not worth the name RELIGION.
I pray in this Mass for the grace to model our lives after the interpersonal relationship of the three divine persons in one God. If our lifestyle is modelled after the Divine Trinity the society will surely be a lot better for all of us.
