EVERY TIME WE CHOOSE THE HARD RIGHT WAY RATHER THAN THE EASY WAY, WE GAIN OUR SOUL
Jesus is telling us today, ” By your endurance, you will gain your soul.”
Having a soul is different from gaining it. We can gain it only by acquiring knowledge and the practice of virtue. Every time we choose the hard right way rather than the easy way, we gain our soul. Every time we sacrifice our comfort and ease to do some service to our brothers and sisters, we gain our soul. Every time we say a kindly word and do a loving service, we gain our soul.
Our soul lives and grows on love and kindness, and sacrifice. Gaining our soul is a constant process. We can have a lively faith by our exercise of our faith. We have to endure in our efforts to practice virtue, and by doing so, our lives will be surely secured!
We must surely work to gain eternal life as St. Paul exhausts in today’s second reading.
God bless your new week with greater determination not to lose your soul to the visisitudes and challenges of life in our society today.
Happy Sunday, dearest!
