FAILURE TO BE A GOOD CITIZEN IS A FAILURE IN CHRISTIAN DUTY
As Christians our first allegiance and deepest loyalty is to God.
To God alone we render worship. In other things we gladly acknowledge and serve the secular powers, praying that they will rule wisely and justly.
Christians should always strive to be good citizens of their country and at the same time, good citizens of heaven. Failure to be a good citizen is a failure in Christian duty.
As we strive to be good citizens of the society may the grace of God enable us to always maintain the equilibrium of being responsible patriots and very commendable ambassadors of Christ wherever we found ourselves because when God’s people are in power the people rejoice.
Our responsibility as religious moral agents is also to participate actively in political affairs if we must get rid of bad eggs in our political space.
Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God is carrying your Chriatian moral principles into the State affairs. Therefore, get your voter’s card ready and shun any form of vote-buying or vote-selling. Let your conscience be your guide as we approach this coming 2027 general election.
Be a responsible God-fearing citizen and we shall have a better Nigeria. Happy Sunday beloved in Christ!
