LATEST UPDATE: INEC FAILED TO PRESENT ANY WITNESS BEFORE THE COURT – FROM ENUGU STATE GOVERNORSHIP TRIBUNAL IN HON. BARR. C.J EDEOGA VS BARR. PETER MBAH

Another dramatic scene surfaced at the Enugu state governorship election petition tribunal as INEC failed to present any witness before the court.

Recall that after Hon. Chijioke Edeoga and the Labour party closed their case last Sunday, it was expected that INEC Should take over by presenting their evidence and witnesses   if any in  defense of the petition brought against them by Hon. Chijioke Edeoga and the Labour party. But unfortunately, the lawyer for INEC quickly stood up and announced that they were not ready to present any witness today and demanded more time .

However, court decided that since INEC failed to present her witnesses, that Mr. Peter Mba Should prepare his witnesses and evidence tomorrow 19th July,2023.

Court finally adjourned sitting tomorrow 19th, July 2023 to open Mr. Peter Mba’s defense!
