WHEN PEOPLE COEXIST AS ONE IT IS IMPORTANT THAT BEFORE MAJOR DECISIONS ARE TAKEN THE OPINION OF STAKEHOLDERS ARE SOUGHT
1 min readI read with dismay the purported meeting of Ibagwa-Aka people at the Palace of Igwe Hyacinth Eze of Amaji Ibagwa Aka. As far as I am concerned, there is no one Igwe in Ibagwa-Aka that should preside for the entire Ibagwa-Aka. I do not recognise any one Igwe for that of the entire Ibagwa Aka. This should be noted at all times.
If there is any government programme anchored in the house of any of the Igwes’ in Ibagwa-Aka, invited guests are free to attend.
Echezema is part of Echara Eze Ibagwa. We have Attah Sylvester Eze as the Igwe-elect and we remain autonomous as Echara Ibagwa Aka waiting for the seal of the Government of Enugu State. Nothing can be added or removed from this truth.
Cultural practices performed in Ibagwa-Aka under any of the Igwes, including in the house of Onyishi Amebo on behalf of the entire Ibagwa-Aka, does not represent any other autonomous part of Ibagwa-Aka but Amaji Amebo.
I believe I have made some contributions in the community that my opinion should have been sought before asking every Echezema sons and daughters to attend any meeting.
I therefore ask anybody who values my relationship with him/her to boycott this meeting.
